I am posting a museum quality and extremely rare radio in fantastic completely all original condition. Everything is factory. This radio was for the 1933 "Century of Progress" World's Fair in Chicago. Here is some additional information from Wikipedia: "The Century of Progress was organized as an Illinois nonprofit organization in January 1928 for the purpose of planning and hosting a World's Fair in Chicago in 1934. City officials designated three and a half miles of newly reclaimed land along the shore of Lake Michigan between 12th and 39th streets on the Near South Side for the fairgrounds." The electronics have been professionally repaired by Les and the radio plays well on the six-tube AM only chassis. Les added a mini-jack for your own input device. Own a piece of history and an investment grade radio. 10-1/8"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/4"D. |
