Stewart-Warner R-1811 (1938)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Stewart-Warner R-1811 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is an interesting radio in the dramatic Craft-Built collection. S-W built these highly decorative cabinets to compete with the highly veneered and polished Ingraham cabinets sold by their competitors. This model is all original, fancy wood knobs and a nearly perfect Tenite grille. The radio is an AM and Shortwave radio with a tricolor dial which changes from band to band. Note the band select window positioned in the area above the dial. The radio is in an unusual form being curved with dramatic matched veneers. Les has done a great job in his repairs and the radio plays great. He added a mini-jack to the set, offering you an unlimited choice of content from an external device. 16"W x 12"H x 9"D.
