Atwater Kent 447 Tombstone (1933)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Atwater Kent 447 Tombstone (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Atwater Kent was the premier factory of the era. The combination of highly crafted cabinets with the finest electronics of the era. This was the top of the line, being a seven-tube super-het with AVC. Playing both AM and Shortwave, it was their best model. Note the finely handcrafted inlay banding the upper part of the radio. The example before you is an exceptional example with a fine factory finish and factory installed speaker cloth and knobs. The shadowgraph is working, which is terrific, and Les has done a fantastic job replacing all of the rubber coated wires and drive wheel for the tuning assembly. The radio has a mini-jack installed at no charge, as the size and quality of this radio makes for some sweet listening. These mini-jacks with your input device or computer allow an unlimited amount of content with a higher level of fidelity than broadcast radio. 21"H x 16"W x 12"D.
