THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
You are looking at one of the futuristic and edgy designed radios from Wilcox Gay. These radios were a highly decorative styled radio for the period. The one before you is a eight-tube model, playing on AM and Shortwave. Note the dramatic chevron veneers and the highly styled cabinet, which was a good refinish from the previous owner. The speaker cloth is a period replacement and the knobs original. The added feature is the "telephone" dial with a paddle to ease the tuning from station to station. Les has done his highly professional repairs and the radio is a real player! With a high tube count chassis, you know the reception is great. Les also has added a mini-jack allowing the connection to an auxiliary input device. This will allow you to listen to an unlimited choice of content through this fine radio. 19-3/4"W x 10-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D. |
