Stromberg-Carlson 130-U Tombstone (1939)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Stromberg-Carlson 130-U Tombstone (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at the most desirable tombstone made by this famous maker. The company, founded in the 1800s, was the premier maker of scientific equipment and telephones. When radios grew in popularity, they morphed into a radio provider following the market for high quality electronics. This is the finest all original example I have ever seen! The finish is outstanding; the cabinet is crafted of the finest American Walnut and the radio retains all of the factory installed parts from 70+ years ago. There is no better example. The radio represents the finest electronics of the era, a powerhouse eight-tube receiver. The radio plays on both AM and Shortwave. Les has done his usual exacting and most through repairs. The radio performs as new and it is a heck of a fine sounding set with unusually superb selectivity. I will add a mini-jack if desired at no additional cost. This radio is for the most discriminating collector. 21-1/4"H x 15"W x 11"D.
