Silvertone 7241 by Detrola (1939)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Silvertone 7241 by Detrola (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at a nice example of a motorized tuning set made by Detrola Radio, their model 532-1. The motor is robust, allowing you to preset the push buttons and electronically tune the radio. The highly stationed dial is typically oversized and brightly lit. The cabinet is in fine condition; I sense refinished American Walnut. The knobs and speaker cloth appear to be factory originals. This is a terrific player, with a seven-tube chassis and a sensitive eye tube opening and closing as you dial between the stations. Les has done a complete repair adding a mini-jack, as with the tone control and large speaker, this is a great sounding set. 21-1/5"W x 8"H x 8"D.
