THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a beautiful all original seven-tube super-het tombstone. The quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding with finely book matched veneers on the front. The radio is interesting with a horizontal dial that raises and lowers as you switch from each of the three bands. Seldom do you see a method like this, but it was used on some of the A-K's and Philcos. The cabinet is beautiful, highly ornate, and with only a couple of weak spots on the speaker cloth. For retaining the originality I left it as is. My technician has done a complete repair and the radio is impressive in performance. He added a fine silk/cotton power cord and Bakelite plug so that it is exactly like the day it left the factory. 18-1/2"H x 16-3/8"W x 9-1/4"D. |
