Remler 21 "The Minuette" (1932)
(wood tube table radio)

Remler 21 "The Minuette" (1932)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a scarce radio from a west coast factory. Very tiny in size, and super ornate with a Middle Eastern flavor to the cabinet design. As you can see the condition of the cabinet and grille are with a decent factory finish. The speaker cloth and knobs are accurate replacements. The tiny size of this early four-tube chassis was highly unusual along with the early style tuning dial. These tiny radios were favored in smaller rooms, such as a den or bedroom. The extremely ornate veneer makes for a very decorative set. The four-tube chassis offers, as you would expect, a limited amount of selectivity and sound output. These radios were scarce and fragile in design, so to find such a nice example is a rare treat! My technician has done a complete repair and returned the radio to its factory like new operation. He added a fine silk/cotton cord and new plug for safe use. The radio plays on the broadcast band only. 12-1/2"H x 10"W x 8"D.
