This is a nice example of a most unusual novelty radio. The radio was designed as a high quality super-het, with the latest rage of a tuning eye. The radio dial is styled after a telephone. Thus, this set was unique. The radio features a curved side, and is a near copy of another Silvertone model which was made by Ingraham Cabinets. The radio is in very good original condition, retaining all of the factory installed parts, showing almost no wear with a couple of spots on the top for all the decades. I bought this radio for the very good condition of the Tenite plastic grille and knobs. Often, these have shrunk, as this kind of plastic is prone to do; but this one is in fine shape. The radio is an eight-tube multi-band with a brand new tuning eye. The radio was repaired completely by my tech, and performs fantastically. The green tuning eye is very sensitive in opening and closing. Eight tubes and dual bands make this a great radio to listen to. 20-1/2"W x 15"H x 12"D.
