THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Atwater Kent was one of the very best makers of this era. They had a fine reputation for the extreme care in the engineering and cabinet making. This radio is a terrific example of their fine talents. This model was a high tube count for the era, with eight tubes. A super-het circuit incorporating AVC, for the finest reception. The radio is prized for the lace-like grille, with one small blemish, so look at the additional photos. The condition of this radio is extremely fine as well, so you are looking at a particularly nice set. Everything looks to be factory original, with a fine silk reproduction power cord and Bakelite plug. My tech has done a complete repair of all of the defective parts and the radio is a fine player. 16-3/4"H x 14-1/2"W x 10-1/2"D. |
