THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is only the second one of this premier radios I have seen in 45 years. Made under the Gulbransen label by the famed Chicago based Wells Garner, this was the best of the best. The radio has it all, a huge oval dial with multiple controls and a new green tuning eye that very selectivity winks as you tune between the station. The cabinet is in pristine condition and made from striped mahogany. The chassis is a seven-tube super-het of the highest caliber. The sound quality is simply unbelievable. The radio is all original, with the exception of an accurate replacement speaker cloth. This radio would make a prime candidate for the mini jack conversion, as it has a sound like a console in a HUGE tombstone. You simply could not buy a better radio in 1938. 21-1/2"H x 15-3/4"W x 12"D. |
