Bulova 701(1933)

Bulova 701(1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
You are looking at a very rare and historically important radio and clock combination. This is a fine seven-tube super-het dual band receiver. Most interestingly, the radio incorporates a very early electric clock. This is so early, it requires the manual "spinner" start, but a first invention are the dual timers on the clock to automatically turn the radio on and off. This was a first time introduction by one of America's finest clock makers. The condition of this premier set is fantastic, with a factory original finish, decorative inlays and highly detailed clock dial and escutcheon. Note the fancy metal inset knobs. The speaker cloth is an accurate reproduction and the factory paperwork is intact inside the cabinet. With so much electronics, this is a very large and heavy radio. My technician has done a very detailed repair of all of this complex set's functions. The clock has been cleaned and the functions work well. Note you set the time inside the glass dome, with the spinner start in the back and the timers are easily set on the front of the radio. 20-1/2"H x 18"W x 12"D.
