THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
You are looking at a radio designed at the height of the Art Deco era. Wildly futuristic in a class "sky-scraper" form, with aluminum grille bars, accenting the cabinet shape. Note the fine detailing black lacquer detailing added to the cabinet. The condition is as good as it gets, all factory original and in tremendous condition. Note the correct factory "pinwheel" knobs. Inside is a decent five-tube, early super-het chassis that plays on the Broadcast band only. To fit the chassis into the cabinet, they mounted it sideways. My technician has done a fantastic job with his repairs, and the radio plays great. He has added a fine silk reproduction power cord and Bakelite plug, to be exactly as the radio left the factory, some 80 years ago. 14"H x 9-3/4"W x 8"D. |
