Atwater Kent 567 Cathedral (1932)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Atwater Kent 567 Cathedral (1932)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is the first example of this model from the terrific early super-het cathedrals, made by this premier company. The radio is a stunning radio, it reminds me a cross between a A-K 627 and a model 82. The radio is a seven-tube model, and plays on the AM band. I did a bit of study of this radio, as my books did not offer the usual information; they must be very scarce. My literature would indicate this was a battery radio, but the chassis looks like a perfect factory built AC radio. The radio is a perfect performing set. The radio looks to be an older refinished cabinet; I added the correct reproduction speaker cloth and the factory knobs. My technician did his usual superlative repair replacing the aged components prone to failure along with those which it needed. He added a perfect silk reproduction power cord and Bakelite plug for your safe operation. Here is a chance to add a special radio to your collection! 18-1/2"H x 16-1/4"W x 11"D.
