Sparton 827X Tombstone (1937)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Sparton 827X Tombstone (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This radio is the top of the line model from one of America's premier factories. The radio was clearly intended to show the industry how capable the company was. The radio is a monster, with a high count eight-tube chassis. The radio was a five band model, with a HUGE 6-1/2" reverse five colored painted dial. My technician enjoyed the repair of this radio, given the extensive engineering that went into it. The repairs are done and the set is like new. Note the ornate columns and fancy craftsmanship of the cabinet, with an equal effort with the electronics. The sound from this oversize tombstone is superb. 22-1/2"H x 17-3/4"W x 12"D.
