Atwater Kent 447 Tombstone (1933)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Atwater Kent 447 Tombstone (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is the largest and most deluxe of all of the Atwater Kent tombstones. They wanted to exhibit their premier position in the radio world by displaying the finest radio made. The radio is a tremendous receiver, containing seven tubes and dual bands. The radio clearly was the finest made in 1933. You can see the fantastic cabinet inlay, veneer work, with a super sensitive super-het chassis. The condition is very fine, with an original finish and all of the factory installed parts. There is one tiny piece of trim missing, but hard to see. The filters and caps were replaced, as needed, along with all of the factory installed rubber coated internals. The radio performs and operates as new. My technician has done an outstanding job and installed a fine silk reproduction power cord and plug to match the factory original. These are considered a prize among collectors and hard very hard to find. This stunning radio is the finest you can buy and is a large radio. 22"H x 16"W x 12"D.
