Zenith 5-S-29 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 5-S-29 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

There is no better production radio of this era than a solid Zenith radio. This was a decorative tombstone from that time and an exceptionally nice example. I have seldom had a finer example, with a very fine redone finish and the correct reproduction speaker cloth. Please note the fine embossed Zenith knobs with the lighting bolt. This radio will meet the expectations of the collector who demands the very best. This radio is a five-tube, two-band radio. My technician, a life long Zenith collector, lovingly restored the radio. His work is exacting; he replaced all of the old filters and cap. He tested each of the radio's components and tubes for the proper factory values. He aligned the tuner and replaced the power cord and plug. The black and white dial becomes multi-colored when the radio is turned on and you switch from band to band. 18"H x 13"W x 9"D.
