Commander Super Six Cathedral (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Commander Super Six Cathedral (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Commander Radios were made by a very high-end factory in New York City. They catered to the specialty radio shops, offering the highest boutique selections. This is a six-tube model, and only the second one I have seen. The cabinet is the combination of mahogany and another exotic veneer, which I cannot identify. The condition is factory original and pristine. The horse-shoe shaped dial is still clearly readable and dramatically lights when the radio is turned on. The six-tube early super-het performs very well, as you expect a deluxe receiver to do. My tech has given this set extra attention and has repaired the radio as good as new. He added a new silk power cord and plug for your safe use. This is a highly collectable radio, and will be a joy to own. The radio measures a grand cathedral size 18-1/2"H x 16"W x 12"D.
