THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
You are looking at one of the most desired "Grand Cathedral" radios. The Atwater Kent Company was recognized for the marriage of the most advanced electronics and the finest cabinet constructions. This radio is a very nice example of the effort. The finish is original, showing some wear and minor separations on the aches of the top. I debated refinishing this example and decided it was still very acceptable for a 80 year old set. All of the parts, including the speaker cloth, are factory originals. This exceptional seven-tube early super-het incorporates automatic volume control and the highest selectivity that this advance design allows. The chassis is super clean and the radio is as nice of an example as you will ever find. Note the fancy veneers, Zebrawood imported from Africa, and the barley twist columns on the face of the radio. The radio was completely restored by my technician; new caps and filters, aligned. The radio has a new power cord and plug for your safe use. 19-1/2"H x 16"W x 10"D. |
