You are looking at one of the most distinctive of all early Grand Cathedral radios. These Silvertone "World's Fair" models represented the finest radios of this era and displayed the most advanced combination of electronics and styling. This particular example is stunning in the completely factory original condition. The finish is like new, with a super clean chassis and factory installed parts. The radio is, as you would expect, an eight-tube early super-het with automatic volume control. My technician has completely restored the set, with all new caps and filters. The tuner has been realigned and a fine silk power cord and new plug added. This radio will satisfy the most sophisticated collector, with a super factory condition and performance. 18"H x 14"W x 10"D. |
