THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is one of the most distinctive of all of the earliest tombstone radios, yet it is an eight-tube and three band receiver. The radio has a dramatic Gothic feeling and this is a very nice, original, and complete example. The radio retains a nice factory finish with the correct speaker cloth and knobs. Most importantly, the radio has the metal plates, which lie below the volume and tone knobs. These are often missing. The radio was finely restored and plays in a very dramatic way. All of the needed repairs were made to assure you of years of great service. My technician has placed a fine silk reproduction power cord on the set with a Bakelite plug. This is a very large and heavy radio, with a tremendous transformer, and very heavy cabinet. Impressive at 22"H x 14-1/2"W x 12"D. |
