Crosley "New Fiver" Tombstone (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Crosley "New Fiver" Tombstone (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a dramatic tombstone radio. Using multiple exotic veneers, Crosley Radio wanted to make this radio a statement. Using some of the flourishes of Deco styling, they created a radio that resembled a Deco-skyscraper. The condition of the cabinet is outstanding and the varied used of the wood rather unique. The radio is a five-tube model and is broadcast band only. The radio has had the complete replacement of the caps and filters, ensuring another half of a century dependable service. My technician has added a fine silk reproduction power cord and Bakelite plug for your safe operation. 14"H x 11-1/4"W x 8"D.
