The craftsmanship of the cabinets show the extra effort in design with internals to match. This radio is a dual band five-tube super-het. The feature that offers distinctness is the unique dial, which is really special. Circling the radio dial are time zones around the world, especially of use in an era that shortwave offered a window to the world. That is how these radios gained the name, and the company shrewdly marketed them as such. My tech has done a fine job restoring the radio to the factory specs. the radio is fully aligned and ready to play. Note the fine reproduction cotton/silk power cord and plug for your safety.
