This is a fantastic example of this Sparton model. These were the "Caddy's" of their day, making some of the very best radios. The condition is fantastic for a set of this age, so click on the additional photos. The port-hole dial, which was common for the day, offers a unusual crisp detailed look. The cabinet is in two-tone veneers and very distinctive. The radio is a six-tube dual band player. The radio was an easy restoration. My technician replaced all of the caps and filters. The radio tuner was aligned for accuracy and the radio plays as new. He added a new reproduction silk cord and Bakelite plug for your safe use. This is a full size tombstone at 17-1/2"H x 13-1/2"W x 9"D. |
