Stewart-Warner R-1272 "Prado" Tombstone (1933)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Stewart-Warner R-1272 "Prado" Tombstone (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The "Prado" was a mid-size tombstone in Stewart Warner's signature line. Highly Deco lines, highlighted with a dramatic use of veneers, these sets using birds-eye maple fronts, are very sought after models. The finish is original with a very nice luster, and the factory installed speaker cloth and knobs make this a fine example. The radio is a five-tube model and plays on the AM band only. My technician restored the radio and his work was great. The radio was such a fine example, he decided to leave the very serviceable factory power cord and plug on this particular example. This set will soon be a favorite in your collection. 17"H x 13-1/2"W x 9"D.
