Emerson 106 w/Ingraham Cabinet (1936)
(wood tube table radio)

Emerson 106 w/Ingraham Cabinet (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

In the 30s, Emerson Radio contracted with the internationally famous Ingraham Cabinets on a series of radios. Ingraham Cabinets was an upstate New York based maker of fine wood cabinets, and were famous for the fine clocks and cases the artisans there produced. The result is a line of the finest looks and quality ever made in the United States. Collectors are very appreciative of these radios and some collect only these fine sets. This particular model is about the rarest of the entire collection and an extremely fine example. Please note the oval shape and the fine matched veneers used both on the top, and on both sides. The finish is original with very little loss. With the high luster piano finish, this was a difficult radio to picture. Note the oval shape and the interesting full back that is a near mirror to the front of the radio.
