In the prime years of the radio age, there was no better maker of radios than Atwater Kent. They were sophisticated in the engineering, and determined to make the finest cabinets available. In this era, owning an Atwater Kent radio was a statement in prestige. They made a dramatic line of spectacular Grand Cathedrals, and this model was their response to the demand for smaller sets. This is a four-tube radio, and is AM band only. The consumer wanted smaller radios to add to smaller rooms, such as dens and studies, and this was everything that made A-K famous, with a smaller footprint. The radio is completely restored and ready to bring you all of the quality of Atwater Kent at a lower price and smaller size. 14-1/2"H x 12"W x 8"D.
