THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is the same famed and most sought after "Grand Cathedral," designed by Edward Combs, and considered one the most beautiful ever made. The radio that you are looking at is a later model with a later tube layout and incorporates automatic volume control. These were top of the line nine-tube super-hets, and were the finest and latest in technology. I offer this particular radio to allow someone who wants the classic looks of one of these radios, but at a lower price. Although the model C is a less expensive model, you will be very pleased with the terrific selectivity and sound from this superlative super-het. The set has been refurbished with all of the paper filters and caps replaced with state of the art brand new components. The tuner has been aligned for accuracy, and the cord and plug replaced with accurate reproductions. If you want a great set to listen to, this nine-tube beauty is the radio to own. 18-1/2"H x 17-1/4"W x 12"D. |
