THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
One of the most distinctive radios of this era, the Sparton Radio Corp, from Jackson, Michigan, made a higher grade set. This radio has rather distinctive looks, with a highly ornamental grille and finials gracing either side. The radio cabinet has been restored using exactly lacquers and a high polish "piano" finish. The work is top-drawer and makes for the most beautiful example of this set that I have ever seen. The radio is a nicely sized unit at 19-1/4"H x 16"W x 11"D. Please click on the extra photos to fully appreciate the domed top and the elaborate detailing that made this radio even more special. The radio is a very strong and fine playing set, with all of the electronics renewed to factory specs. |
