THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
RCA was at the very heart of the early radio technology evolution. They garnered many of the earliest patents and licensed the rights to all of the other makers of the era. Thus, you knew that the products they made were the most advanced offered for sale. This radio is no exception, using six tubes in an early super-het design. The condition is terrific, with a flawless case made of the finest American walnut. All of the parts, including the knobs and speaker cloth are factory original. Note the "port-hole" dial, which was one of the earliest uses of this tuning method, years ahead of the balance of the market. The radio has been professionally reconditioned, and plays like a champion. My technician has replaced all of the old filters and caps, and brought all of the components values to factory new standards. The radio plays great with a super tone and great selectivity. |
