(x tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 5-S-127 Tombstone (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

All of the people who regularly visit my pages, always hear me tout the quality of Zenith radios. The company was simply the most solid middle priced radio made in America. The set you are looking at is a great example of American made quality. Stable and sensitive in the reception and a fine response in sound quality are several of the proper adjectives to describe this set. Note the finely crafted wood knobs with the embossed Zenith logo, and the large black dial. In a darkened room, the dial springs to life with a bright backlit dial. The radio has received a complete and thorough restoration. This work includes replacing all of the filters, and caps. The resisters and tubes were tested for factory fresh values. The tuner has been aligned for accuracy and a new cord and plug added for safety. This radio is one of the nicest original examples I have ever found. The radio has a slight blemish for the 70 years on the front leading corner, which is nearly impossible to see. Otherwise it is a great set! 19-1/2"H x 14"W x 11"D.
