THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a relatively scarce Catalin radio. The radio was the only model made by GE, and is a solidly cute radio. The radio has had the color lightened in the polishing of the cabinet, and is a lighter and fresher color than the plastic normally ages towards. The factory original color was an ivory model with maroon trim. While the case was professionally polished, I had a stress crack repair to return the radio to a factory new appearance. The maroon trim is the perfect offset and all of the parts original and to this set. The Catalin has a large amount of swirl, which I was unable to capture in my photos. The radio has received a complete and thorough electronic restoration, with a full new set of filters and cap. The radio plays very well with great selectivity and volume. 9-1/2"W x 8"H x 6-1/4"D. |
