DeForest Crosley DD-531 "Meteor" Tombstone (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You have probably seen my repeated comments of the admiration I have for these fine Canadian made radios. Our northern neighbor simply held the companies to a higher standard. The electronics are spectacular, and of the highest quality. This radio has seen all of the attentions from my technician, to assure you of decades of solid service. The radio is an especially strong player, and the dial, which changes with the switching of the bands, exquisite. Speaking of the stunning dial, there is no the usual burn through from the dial lamps, a common complaint. This radio cabinet was made by the famous internationally owned McMayan Cabinet Works. They were like our American Ingranham Cabinets, specializing in the highest and most decorative cabinets. The condition is very fine to excellent for the age. I am not even sure of the matched exotic veneers, and what they are; but see for yourself, this radio is special. 18-1/2"H x 15"W x 11"D.
