| Many times when collectors brag about sets in their collections, a set sure to generate envy is a Fairbanks Morse. These were prizes then and after one good listen, you will understand why, too. This Indianapolis, Indiana, company made in limited numbers a very high quality radio. This particular set is a great example of the company's product. The artisanship of the cabinet is clearly apparent in the photos, fancy veneers, matched. The set has a novel shape, more like a football, and not a rectangular set like so many others. The six tube chassis has received the complete and thorough attentions of my tech. He has replaced all of the old type filters and caps, replacing the weaker tubes with factory fresh ones. The tuning eye is brand new, super green, opens and closes exactly as you would expect it to do. The set is ever so complete with the brand new cord and plug for your safety. Folks this is a great radio to own! 20"W x 12-1/2"H x 11"D. |
