Atwater Kent 82 Cathedral (1932)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Atwater Kent 82 Cathedral (1932)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

As a matter of record, the Atwater Kent Radio Company was one of the most innovative and highest quality makers of the 1920s-30s. There were boutique makers, but with the exception of a few factories, none better. This is a perfect example of the high quality radios they made. This was an advanced seven-tube model, and a superhet circuit. The radio chassis is in such fine condition, it looks almost factory new. The power cord from the factory, was so acceptable, that we left it attached; it is that good of condition! You can see the fine cabinetwork, and the original finish. Even the speaker cloth has survived in good condition. My technician has replaced all of the filters and caps, and aligned the radio. The set plays, well like you would expect from an A-K. These sets are seldom, if ever offered for sale and this is a very fine example of a choice collector's radio! 19"H x 16"W x 11"D.
