THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Philco was well aware of the popularity of the Ingraham cabinets used by Emerson Radio. As direct competitors, they wanted to answer the challenge, so they created this line to compete based on the elaborate veneers and novelty shapes employed by Emerson. This was a small line of radios and displayed a heightened focus on artistry, that Philco felt lacking in their line.
Note the novel shape to this radio and the matched veneers often referred to as "book matched." The condition is factory, including the fiddle shaped radio back. This pristine example still has all of the factory paper tags attached! The radio has had a complete restoration, and should provide another five decades of solid performance. This is as fine of example of this radio as I think you will ever find! 11"W x 8"H x 7"D. |
