Zenith 288 Tombstone (1933)
(x tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 288 Tombstone (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This scarcer and beautiful Art Deco style tombstone has eight tubes. It receives five bands, the broadcast band and four short-wave bands that pull in the quality of sound that is hard to believe. This radio is one of Zenith's finest performers; the tuning sensitivity for extra fine-tuning is excellent and it even has an antenna trimmer knob, as one of the six on the front panel. This radio has been completely restored by my technician, who is a proud Zenith collector. He pointed out all of the forementioned information and even pointed out the extra large and powerful transformer in the back of the radio. He explained that for his money, this was one of the best-built radios Zenith ever engineered. An impressive set. 18-1/2"H x 16"W x 11"D.
