Emerson CH-256 "The Stradavarius" (1939)
(wood tube table radio)

Emerson CH-256 "The Stradavarius" (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one of the most sought after radios by Emerson that were in Ingraham cabinets. This is a particularly rare set; instead of being made in American walnut, this radio is made of curly maple. They made a very limited number in this fantastic finish and the value is twice that of the walnut version. The condition is fantastic, still with the high gloss lacquer finish from the factory. I encourage you to look at all of the photos, as they will better explain the concept of design that helps make this radio so unique. This is a very stable and great playing radio, a classic five-tube set of the era. the complete and though restoration done by my shop, this radio should offer many more decades of fine service. The set is a small table set, but with the delicate lines that closely resembles a violin, the radio makes the finest of statements. Expensive as it might seem, the rarity and condition more that justifies this price. 11"W x 6-1/2"H x 7"D.
