General Motors 250 "Little General" Cathedral (1932)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

General Motors 250 "Little General" Cathedral (1932)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

General Motors, yes the great automotive company made a line of radios for one year. You are looking at the grand daddy of the line. Scarce as hen's teeth, these grand cathedral sets were as classic and sophisticated as any radio made in the day. This set has been refinished and very nicely. The beautiful American Walnut is special, clear of all of the heavy and dark lacquers of the day. It is more beautiful like this. Note the toggle switch on the side of the radio, indicative of the very early design. The radio has had all of the electronics completely renewed and is a very fine playing and sounding set. Expertly repaired and restored all the way to a fine silk reproduction power cord and Bakelite plug! The Grand Cathedral denotes the large and higher quality radios of the era at 19"H x 15"W x 11"D. This is one of only five radios made by this factory, and you are looking at the Caddy of the General Motors line!
