THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
SAAL was one of the better makers of speakers and horns in the 1920s. They sold their products directly to makers for internal component use, and the radio retailer. These speakers were very reliable and a popularly priced add on sale for the store, when they sold the consumer a new radio. The horn you are looking at is a very nice Tiger Bakelite horn. It measures 22"H and has a 13" bell. The painted base, with the decorative crinkle paint of the era is showing the wear of 80 plus years and the balance of the horn in great condition. The driver is strong and sweet! So this is a good sounding horn, which has retained the factory cord and pin plugs.
