The Philco 70 was the second most deluxe model of the grand cathedral series. The major difference from the famous model 90 is that it has a seven tube chassis instead of a nine tube lay out. The cabinets are very similar, and hard to tell visually from each other. The seven tube set did offer superior sonic quality and a stable receiving set.
