THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is one of Panasonic's great quirky radios of the late 60s/early 70s. This "Cube" was probably inspired by the tulip base chairs and tables from famous mid-century designer Eero Saarinen; he also did a chair with Charles Eames and corporate headquarters for IBM, CBS and John Deere. The stark but playful style is accented by recessed serrated knobs. This radio plays well with a 9 volt battery (not included) with good volume and and good reception for local stations. The cosmetic condition is very fine with no cracks, chips or gouges and just a little light rubbing on the plastic dial cover that only shows up at certain angles. You will have space for this little tyke as it is only 5-1/4"H X 4"W. |
