THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is the "Golden Triangle" and was a very different clock radio from Zenith. The specimen offered here is in excellent cosmetic condition. This was a top quality production piece with a seven-jewel Swiss clock, sturdy brass base allowing for 360 degree rotation, 17 kt gold plate on each of the trim moldings that frame all three sides and had an original price tag of $150.00. This radio is from the first year of production, as they reportedly had a beveled top plastic plate in subsequent years. The radio is a seven-transistor that operates on four "AA" batteries; the clock takes one "D" battery. Radio works but with very little volume, clock is not running. The pictures show the great condition with no cracks or chips on the top, no missing pieces and very minor wear marks. Radio knobs turn smoothly. The insides are extremely clean with absolutely no corrosion. |
