| From my collection comes this very impressive table radio of heavy machine age influence with extreme angular design made from a beautiful swirling piece of Catalin. It's a dark oxblood color with incredible depth of dynamic yellow flame and pale red marbling everywhere. The chunky case has an original marble-like shine, has never been sanded and is in museum quality condition. With a richly veined case like this, the colors will vary with the amount of light, so I've taken direct & indirect sun pictures - if you choose to do a little sanding, the colors will be that much richer and brighter. There are no cracks, chips or hairlines, the reverse-painted dial is flawless, knobs are original and the clean chassis has been restored so it plays the AM band well with ample volume. I have not tested the medium SW band but my repair guy says it will work with a very long wire. The original bottom label is 80% complete. About 15"W x 9-1/2"H x 7-1/2"D (including knobs). |
