THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is anything but a subtle design, but it has many different styles/eras all blended into one that somehow seem to work. There's Machine Age, Art Deco and Moderne Streamline all represented on this FM-AM radio (note the reversal of bands). The radio has been serviced and plays perfectly on both bands; very good volume & full sound on AM, and needs an antenna for equally good FM reception. The massive, reflective Bakelite surface and metal trim are free of any damage and shows almost no wear. The eclectic dial is in excellent condition. The waterfall strip with the incised FM/AM and the bottom tubular trim with the Truetone brand appear to be made of solid brass. The radio also retains the original crisp back. This is a scarce radio, and when they do show up are usually missing the top brass strip. Add $23.00 for S&H. 13"W x 8"D x 7"D. |
