THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Transitone line is from 1940, and according to Ron Ramirez's Philco web site, this version is ten times rarer than the one with white trim. This has a beautful and flawless chocolate brown (Bakelite?) trim/handle/knobs, is all original and is an attractive example of true Art Deco. It's not been serviced but plays well and the knobs & dial work as they should. Has the original firm & complete Masonite back, nice label on bottom. The finish is original, I believe the black trim paint is, too. The case is sound, exhibiting general wear and the lower left front step has a very small piece of veneer missing. FREE shipping, insurance & safe packing to lower 48. |
