THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A scarce RCA Victor metal mantel radio with a true Art Deco look, beginning with the design on front to the subtle step top. This is a scarce and very early set, as the AM dial scale runs 0-100. I cannot find it listed in any of the guides. All original, the metal plates for volume and dialing are in excellent condition and the original wood knobs a little worn. The metal case has no dents or bumps, the original paint is quite worn but I never redid it because I liked the look and patina. The metal back is there, the chassis complete with what look to be original early tubes, no cord is present so it can't be tested, the four original rubber feet are there, as well as cardboard bottom with model identification and tube locations: 36, 37, 38, 39. The grille cloth looks correct for the period but I can't tell if it's original. This item weighs 9 lb. 2 oz. fully packed and ready to ship. 9-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 4-1/2"D. |
