THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Just about the most admired midget Bakelite radio, due to a number of details--is it the feet, the pronounced louvres, cute tuning dial, or the fact that it's so tiny? Whatever, these are always an eyecatcher. Chassis is stamped 197, though this is listed as model 218 in Stein. The case is flawless with no cracks or chips, original knobs and feet (not reproductions). The feet have wonderful swirl (see pic). The dial knob is perfect with just the slightest hint of warping. The volume knob has a very tight hairline (hard to see, but it's around 5pm on the knob). Radio does not play, but has the original resistor cord, complete & clean chassis, and part of the original antenna. |
