| These very popular Gavotte 55 export models have long been known for their excellent sound quality. The 55 is the first in a long series of Gavottes; it has AM, FM to 108, SW and Special. Speakers are a Alnico woofer and electrostatic tweeter. It features Bass and Treble tone controls and has the broadband tuning feature for the SW. It has the EL84 and EABC80 Telefunken diamond bottom out put tubes for very good sound. Radio has been serviced and caps and tubes replaced as needed including filter caps and rectifier. The cabinet has scratches on top, some nicks and the normal grazing of the original finish, but still looks very nice and is solid. Back and grille are very good. Original schematic is included and attached to the back cover. 18"W x 13"H x 7-1/2"D. |
