| This beautiful Blaupunkt Verona is as near mint as you can get for a 40+ year old radio. It has three speakers, a front mounted woofer and two side mounted tweeters. It has three bands, AM 520-1600, SW 25-60m and a full, sensitive FM from 88-108. It plays great on all bands and pulls in stations on all bands with only the internal antennas. Tone controls are a bass/treble tone control behind the volume knob plus Hi-Fi, Solo and Sonor fixed pushbuttons for subtle tone changes. A main feature is the SW bandspread were the FM dial becomes a "fine tuner" for the SW band. Tubes have been checked and replaced as needed including a new magic eye. The wood cabinet is near perfect with its original dark finish. All the plastic trim, pushbuttons, knobs and glass scale are excellent. The back is like new with all writing in English. Chassis is clean. A really nice Blaupunkt just the right size at 18-1/2"W x 12-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D. |
